A Sensory Overload in Little Italy

The wait is legendary but the moment we crossed the threshold we understood why. The entire space is a masterpiece of maximalist design where every square inch demands a photo. We found ourselves surrounded by custom metalwork and a massive electronic flower installation that feels like it’s breathing above the diners. The brass accents catch the California sun and the pink velvet booths make you feel like you’ve been invited to a private party in a futuristic version of the seventies.

The Giant Eye and Lasers

One of the most surreal aspects of the decor is the massive animated eyeball staring back at the crowd from behind the bar. It sounds unsettling but in this context it’s purely whimsical and fits the retro-future aesthetic perfectly. We spent ten minutes just watching the mechanical iris shift while a laser light show occasionally cut through the morning haze.

An Unapologetic Atmosphere

The music here isn't just background noise since it sets a high-octane tempo for the morning. It’s loud and energetic with a playlist that swings from classic disco to indie synth-pop. We had to lean in close to talk but that only added to the feeling that we were part of something exclusive and vibrant rather than just another Sunday meal.

This place stages a full-scale theatrical production where the pancakes are the leading stars.

Global Flavors and Tableside Theater

When the menu arrived we realized the food is just as bold as the wallpaper. Our group decided to go all out and order a spread that spanned three continents. We started with the famous souffle pancakes which are so tall and jiggly they look like they might tip over if you breathe on them too hard. They have a delicate texture that almost dissolves on the tongue and the butter on top adds just the right amount of salt.

The Famous Fluffy Pancakes

These Japanese-style souffle pancakes are the reason half the people are standing in line outside. They are served simply with maple syrup and a pat of butter because anything else would distract from that cloud-like consistency. We shared a plate of three and I can honestly say I have never tasted a more aerated or pillowy breakfast dish in my life.

Savory Staples and Fried Rice

We also dove into the Morning Glory Fried Rice which is a savory powerhouse topped with a mountain of pork belly and a perfectly fried egg. The richness of the pork balances against the spicy kick of the rice and it provided a necessary counterpoint to the sweetness of our other dishes. My friend ordered the Khachapuri which is a Georgian cheese bread shaped like a boat with a runny egg in the middle that the server mixed right at our table.

Between the tableside cocktail carts and the vibrating pink decor, you'll forget that it’s barely eleven o'clock in the morning.
